JPC v1.4.0

Release Notes v1.4.0

Overview

  • The cutter used to create the puzzle pieces has changed – hopefully you’ll agree this makes the ‘look & feel’ more realistic, which in turn gives a better gaming experience. Lots of other changes around the UI to make the game flow smoothly between screen changes.
  • If you are playing music when the App is launched the in game music will now automatically be muted and you can enjoy your own sounds!
  • Helper image is now invoked from a button rather than tapping on the table. This prevents selecting the image accidentally when trying to complete a puzzle against the clock.
  • Prevented the possibility of dropping a piece (or pieces) off screen when working with larger jigsaws that provide an offset when a piece is selected.
  • Alignment of pieces is now pixel perfect regardless of the number of pieces.
  • A rare bug was trapped and removed. Previously dropping linked pieces in a specific location on the screen caused some random behaviour that resulted in the pieces being separated and moved to different locations on the screen – now gone!

JPC v1.3.7

Release Notes v1.3.7

Overview

  • Buttons on the ‘Game Screen’ have been moved to the bottom bar, freeing up screen space for assembling jigsaws!
  • The music played on the ‘Game Screen’ can now be muted.
  • The timer can now be hidden by tapping on it (and unhidden by tapping again).
  • ‘Game Center’ buttons will now only display when you’re connected to ‘Game Center’.
  • ‘Add Friends’ button will only be displayed for iOS9 (and iOS8) when connected to ‘Game Center’ (this feature is not available in iOS10).
  • Warning is given when attempting to view leaderboards while offline to prevent a blank board being displayed.
  • Warning is given if an attempt is made to purchase ‘All Levels’ while offline.

JPC v1.3.6

Release Notes v1.3.6

Overview

  • Added achievements to ‘Game Center’ for each puzzle level.
  • Height of popup windows used for the ‘photos’ and ‘help’ screen increased.
  • Available storage space checked and warning given if space is limited, which might later effect the ability to save the game state.
  • Some visual modifications made to the GUI.
  • Prevented crash caused by invalid game save (due to low storage space) from looping.

JPC v1.3.5

Release Notes v1.3.5

Overview

  • Fixed a privacy issue that may have caused the App to crash when first accessing the camera using iOS 10.
  • Improved the messages displayed when asking for permission to access either the camera or photos library.

JPC v1.3.4

Release Notes v1.3.4

Overview

  • Implemented double tap to zoom from the cropping screen.
  • Fine rotation enabled from the cropping screen to allow correction to the horizon.
  • Minor bug fixes.

JPC v1.3.3

Release Notes v1.3.3

Overview

  • Ready for iOS 10.

JPC v1.3.2

Release Notes v1.3.2

Overview

  • Added the ability to rotate and flip images from the cropping screen, which is great news for any portrait images you may have.
  • The ‘Crazy’ challenge no longer requires the User to select a new level while on the ‘home’ screen. Provided a level above 90 is currently selected it will happen automatically. The frequency of the challenge has also been increased.
  • A double headed bug has been fixed that may have caused the jigsaw pieces to be locked in place when returning to an active game. It was rare and sightings were rarer! But thanks to helpful feedback received we were able to set a trap and remove it.
  • Maximum zoom on the cropping screen has been increased for the iPad 2.
  • Images are now initially centred when the cropping screen loads.
  • Large screen iPad Pro is now supported.

JPC v1.3.1

Release Notes v1.3.1

Overview

  • Cropping is now pixel perfect for all levels whether retina or not!

JPC v1.3.0

Release Notes v1.3.0

Overview

  • Puzzle pieces can now be dropped anywhere on the screen.
  • Pieces dropped will automatically connect when in range of one another.
  • Connected pieces will move together when any of the linked pieces are selected.
  • The selected piece is the one used to determine new connections when dropped. Randomly moving a group of pieces will not accidentally pick up new connections.
  • Having selected your image you can now zoom by up-to two times. This enables you to create your perfect puzzle by panning and zooming before selecting ‘play’ to crop and build your chosen jigsaw.
  • Squashed a very rare nasty bug with two heads that could have resulted in an application crash when recreating a previous game. We’ve received no reports of any sightings in the wild so hopefully it hasn’t been too bothersome!

JPC v1.2.1

Release Notes v1.2.1

Overview

  • Title screen has been updated with jigsaw images created using version 1.2, which avoids image loss due to processing.
  • Updated screenshots.
